Making
San Pedro Shine
Locally Led. Community Focused.
Whether you’re visiting for the weekend, opening a new shop, or calling San Pedro home, our mission is to make this waterfront district feel vibrant, clean, safe, and full of life.

Since 2008, the San Pedro Historic Waterfront Business Improvement District has worked behind the scenes (and out on the streets!) to support local businesses, enhance public spaces, and create a better experience for all who live, work, and explore here.
We’re powered by the San Pedro Property Owners’ Alliance (SPPOA) — a passionate group of property owners and community members committed to keeping Downtown San Pedro at its best.
We keep San Pedro moving, beautiful, and buzzing by:
-
Keeping sidewalks clean and public spaces safe
-
Hosting and supporting local events
-
Promoting small businesses and tourism
-
Creating a welcoming experience for visitors
-
Improving lighting, signage, and beautification projects
We believe in progress with personality — and we're just getting started.

How We Work
We’re led by a 15-member Board made up of local property owners, business owners, residents, and community representatives. Meetings are open to the public, and we welcome input and involvement!
Board Meetings:
First Wednesday of each month at 9:00 AM
390 W. 7th Street, San Pedro, CA 90731
Please contact us for a Zoom link or agenda.
We also host regular committee meetings and an annual stakeholder meeting each February to share updates and future plans.
